Legal Aid - contains information supplied by the government to help you understand how the legal aid system works and who may be eligible.
Employment Law - contains over 1,500 pages of basic information on employment law in a searchable format.
Consumer Advice - gives links to sites dealing with consumer advice and trading standards.
Law Rights - provides free legal information about the law in England and Wales. It has a facility where you can post a legal problem to be answered by WEB-prowling lawyers.
HMSO - (Her Majesty's Stationary Office) lists all 1996 and 1997 Acts of Parliament (plus the Data Protection Act 1984).
Statutory Instruments - lists all Statutory Instruments published since 1997
Parliament Legislation - shows you all legislation currently before Parliament and provides links to the relevent HMSO site once the legislation receives the Royal Assent and becomes law.
Green and White papers - gives you all the Government proposals for changing the law.
Judge Law - gives decisions of the House of Lords and lists all judgments since November 1996. Again this site has a useful search facility if you do not know the name of the case but want to search for a topic of law.
Roger Horne - is a barrister who maintains an impressive site which provides links from the House of Lords cases to other cases that are referred to in the House of Lords judgements.
Decisions of the Court of Appeal - can be found here, however the site is obviously still being developed.
The Court Service - provides a site which gives administrative support to a number of courts including the High Court, the Crown Court and the County Courts.
The European Court of Human Rights - has a bilingual site which contains recent judgements and some gorgeous photos of the stunning Court building in Strasbourg.
Laurie West Knights - a London barrister maintains an excellent gateway to some of these sites
